Eclipse star Bryce Dallas Howard has revealed that give up veganism because it was ruining her health.
The 29 year-old said to Self magazine: ‘I was a vegan for several years – all the way through my pregnancy and the birth of my son. Unfortunately, I learned a few months after my son’s birth that I actually had a rare condition that was triggered by pregnancy, where consuming the acids from meat became critical to my health.
‘My doctor sat me down and finally said: ‘Bryce, you need to choose between your ethics and your future.’
‘It was actually a very challenging and emotional transition to make, but I was grateful to my doctor for putting things in perspective for me, and I was grateful for my time as a vegan as I now have such a more profound appreciation for where my food comes from.’ (Source)

Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays the evil vampire Victoria in the third Twilight movie, Eclipse, says she and her co-stars trained with running specialists to ensure the action sequences looked best on film.
“I arrived in Vancouver and they put me on a treadmill,” she joked. “Actually, they had trainers for us that specialized in running, in helping us just get as fast as possible with the least amount of effort so that we could do the takes over and over and over again.”
“And then they created contraptions and whatnot to make it appear as if we were running not seven miles an hour but rather 45 miles an hour, which was very cool,” Howard, daughter of director and former child star Ron Howard, told George Pennacchio of KABC Television, OnTheRedCarpet.com’s parent company. Photographer Alex Prager Turns Director With This 50s Chiller
The setting: 1960s Los Angeles. Inside a phone booth stands a beautiful woman wearing the portentous femme fatale uniform of red lipstick and high heels. Bright and eerie, it’s picture-perfection. In her first short film, LA-based photographer Alex Prager is going for pure, cinematic melodrama, hoping to catch just one emotion—despair—through her chilling juxtaposition of dreamy Americana aesthetics and back-story brimming with overstated tragedy. (…)As for working with Howard, a fast-rising talent (and the daughter of director Ron Howard) best known for her performances in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village and Lady in the Water, Prager credits fate for bringing them together. She knew it could be no one but the fair-skinned beauty after deciding the role called for a redhead with serious acting chops. Howard’s graceful, porcelain-like look seems to embody one of Prager’s defining characteristics as an artist—her unabashed love for, and understanding of, color. (Read more…)
You can watch the short film here (I really love Bryce’s looks and her performance) or see the captures I made in our gallery.
